The mission statement of the Lancaster Cemetery is to provide respectful and cost-effective interment of human remains with service that meets the cultural, economic, religious, and social needs of California’s diverse communities. In addition, the management and maintenance of the Cemetery will be directed toward keeping the records and history of the founders and citizens who are at rest here as a resource to all its citizens; as a learning tool for all its students; and as a resource for researchers to every extent possible. The Lancaster Cemetery shall stand as a serene oasis within the heart of the District as a memorial to those who have paved our way to this day, and passed, not to be forgotten.
